Bonitas Wellbeing is located in South Plympton, South Australia, not far from Glenelg. We are not a retail store and we do not have a walk-in store.

Almost all of our sales are conducted through our website - all products are freshly prepared and delivered from received phone or internet orders.

Some of our products are available to buy from selected local health & wellbeing stores.

We appreciate you will understand that we need time to invoice, package and arrange your order depending on your chosen method of delivery.

Bonitas Bio Beads

What are Bio Beads?

Bio Beads are a type of bio-plastic, or bio-polyester, known as polyhydroxyalkanaotes (PHA) - Our Bio Beads are a type of PHA, but because it has no other additives, it is more brittle and is called PHB.

What are Bio Beads made of and where are they made?

Bio Beads are created by micro-organisms naturally as a source of carbon. Commercial production takes place on the basis of renewable raw materials via fermentation of sugars and extraction of the PHB when the fermented mass is washed and screened. Our current manufacturer is located in Germany.

Are Bio Beads environmentally friendly?

*Bio Beads are 100% bio-based (no fossil fuels have been used to make them).

*Bio Beads are home compostable.

*Bio Beads will biodegrade in the air, soil, water and the ocean - wherever, moisture and microbes are active.

Are Bio Beads toxic?

Bio Beads are non-toxic and bio-compatible - meaning they can and are used to make medical implants for humans.

Do Bio Beads expire?

Bio Beads will last indefinitely, until they are exposed to moisture and micro-organisms.
